Stop the Burning of Coal to Generate Electricity while the Renewable Energy Sector is READY NOW. Why continue to pollute our AIR and WATER and GROUND with coal combustion, coal combustion waste and coal power plant discharge into the Chena River?
If it’s a matter of buying a battery to store wind energy, a matter of drilling a hole deep enough to hit geothermal, or stringing a line from Chena Hot Springs…let’s get on with Cleaning Up Fairbanks Air.
To still be polluting this way is really a basic human right violation, when the clean energy sector has got it developed. Why are we in the stranglehold of Usibelli Coal?
